techno
On the techno line between technopop and detroit techno. Grew out of house, electro, synth-pop (electronic rock line), hi-nrg, electronic body music (industrial line), italo disco (disco line), post-disco, industrial and krautrock (progressive rock line).

TECHNO
Machine-made dance music built on drum machines, sequenced bass and cold synth lines. It took shape in mid-1980s Detroit, where producers crossed electro and Chicago house with European synth music.
